Purpose: The Marketing and Communications Manager will oversee all internal marketing and communication activities of the institution.

Major Responsibilities:

Communications and Marketing For BGSL (70%)

Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a flexible and result-oriented communications strategy for both internal and external communications.

Content Creation: Generate ideas and create content for social media/digital channels. Write and edit program participant/client stories, scripts for videos, blogs, case studies, factsheets, capacity statements, and annual reports.

Web Monitoring: Regularly monitor the BGSL's web page and sections to identify information that needs updating. Collaborate with the BI Microfinance Communications team.

Media Strategies: Conceive media strategies and plan/implement those strategies to enhance the positioning of BGSL within the local media.

Special Events: Conceptualize and organize special events for BGSL to support advocacy initiatives and reach core audiences.

Internal Communication: Support internal communication by working closely with cross-functional departments. Execute campaigns to boost employee morale, loyalty, and a value-driven culture.

Media Opportunities: Identify media and campaign opportunities. Work collaboratively with the wider BRAC international communications team to improve overall outreach and visibility efforts.

Programme Support (20%)

Speeches and Presentations: Support in developing presentations, speeches, and talking points for the CEO. Coordinate relevant opportunities for speaking engagements.

Brand Consistency: Ensure BRAC Branding Policy, Communication Policy, and BRAC Style Guide are consistent in communication materials. Be the first point of contact for all staff regarding brand consistency.

Training: Conduct trainings on brand and communications policy for staff.

Knowledge Management: Support knowledge management, SPM, product, HR, and other cross-cutting functions to organize campaigns. Ensure agreed messages and brand guidelines are maintained in report presentations and external communications.

Field Visits: Coordinate field visits by various BRAC stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in communication, journalism, marketing.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of working experience in a Global NGO.
  • 4 years of professional experience in communications, graphic design, public relations, and media production with a good mix of creative and technical expertise.

Professional Degree/Certification:

  • Professional certification in the field is a plus.
